Fall/Winter 2009 fashion collections

PARIS
Nina Ricci

The clothes are gorgeous and fashion-forward, but I sympathize with all the models having to wear those ridiculously high platforms.

John Galliano

LOVE IT! I love how his collection is so medieval-inspired.

Alexander Mcqueen

Is it just me or does this collection seem to have ADD? Checkered dresses with toilet paper wrapped around the head, striped fleece-looking blankets draped over the body, bell-shaped dresses with umbrella-like hats, and everything in between. The only continuity I saw was in the color scheme. And what is with the HUGE lips? Aparently all those models go to the same plastic surgeon for their collagen injections.

Louis Vuitton

Chic, classy, and great bags. No surprise here.

NYC
Marc by Marc Jacobs

A very casual collection for the most part. Love the loose ponytails and scarves. I love the boots that the models wear, but do they have to show the soles so much when they walk? Some of them looked like they were trudging through snow, but maybe that was on purpose? Anyway, lead with the toes please!

Carolina Herrera

Sophisticated and a refreshing variety of color. I love the use of metallics and the gown at 2:22.

Michael Kors parts 1 and 2

Stunning! I love him! Love the sudden pops of neon in this collection and the thick chain necklaces.

MILAN
Dolce and Gabbana part 1

hahahah that fur coat at 0:42 reminds me of the abominable snowman. The pattern with all the faces on it that kept showing up was kind of weird in my opinion. However, I liked the color palette of black and white with pops of pepto-bismol-pink.

Burberry

Fabulous coats and trenches. I also liked how the models' makeup was so understated.

If you want to see the collections I left out, go here.
